In a decisive move to advance China’s “Dual Carbon” goals and strengthen modern energy infrastructure, Ningxia Baofeng Energy Group Co., Ltd. broke ground on its milestone megaproject—the Cathode, Anode, Electrolyte Plant and Baofeng Energy Phase IV Olefin New Materials Project—at the Ningdong Energy and Chemical Base.
With a total investment of RMB 31 billion, the initiative includes a dedicated RMB 10.5 billion investment in new energy storage, establishing a 100GWh lithium battery and energy storage system manufacturing and station layout. Once fully operational, the project is expected to generate an annual industrial output value of RMB 49 billion and create nearly 10,000 jobs, serving as a vital engine for the region’s green energy transition.
